I have a usb endoscope (basically a webcam on a long usb wire. It works fine when I plug it into Windows 7 starter (32 bit) netwook. But, it does not work on my Windows 7 Home Premium 32 bit and 64 bit systems. It also does not work on Windows 10 Preview 64 bit edition. The package calls it a WIRE CAM EN07.

It is delivered without a driver because it is supposed to work out of the box (it does on some windows). The manufacturer (a Chinese company) claims that it works without a driver - which it does on 'some' Windows. Any hope for Windows 10 allowing it to work?

Please post the name of the app.? I just got a USB endoscope and have been experiencing problem being recognized. I see this is old but in case anyone comes accross this post like I did when I was working on this for a client I have found that using a powered 2.0 USB hub solved the problem of it not being recognized when using a 2.0 port. I got it to work, downloaded a software app, forgot which but now when I plug it in it defaults to it and works.

I use the first Microsoft surface Pro so it is pretty portable.
