I have a Canon lbp-800 printer connected to the computer under Windows XP SP3. I am using Ubuntu 11.04 and I got a Linux driver for my printer. I have tried to connect it by Add printer-Network printers-Windows printer via SAMBA, then browse and I could see my shared printer. Then I used 'Provide a PPD file' an select my PPD file from drivers folder. After that an error massage: 'Printer 'Canon-LBP-800-2' requires the 'foo2lbp800- wrapper' program but it is not currently installed.

Please install it before using this printer.' In CUPS I can see my printer but status is: 'Idle - 'Unable to connect to CIFS host after (tried 3 times)' I tried to use post, but It did not help. Please help me. I am a young Ubuntu user, so I need a step-by-step guide.
